Okay so my boyfriend does a lot for me & he works so hard to keep a smile on my face. I want to show him how important he is to me this Valentines Day. I know these are just material things, but they are all things I know he will love. He hasn’t had a very good life & there hasn’t really been anyone who’s cared about him much or really bothered to get him anything. I want this year to be his best Valentines Day ever. So far I have gotten him an Epihone G-400 SG Electric Guitar + gig bag. That came with a $ 50 Best Buy gift card since I paid over $ 400 so he’s getting that as well. I ordered a bunch of accessories a few days ago which are a strap, picks, cable, strings, polishing cloth, & polish. I also ordered two handmade cards from a woman. The gift card is going in one & I am writing in the other one & telling him how much I love him.
I am also making a a gift basket for him. The card with the gift card is going in it as well as the guitar accessories. I am also including a framed picture of us, a small stuffed bear, a new iTouch case, V-Day boxers, Cologne, Nike sandals, a jar of Skittles, a jar of picks, a jar of sunflower seeds, Propel, Socks, box of chocolates, Laffy Taffy, Teriyaki beef jerky, chocolate covered strawberries, & a Sudoku book + pen. I’m wrapping the basket in nice cellophane, tying it with a ribbon, & putting a big bow on it as well as a balloon on top.
The card I’m writing in will have a single red rose attached.
I’m making him a cake too. Just a nice little ice cream cake in his favorite flavors.
So guys, is there anything else you can think of that you would want to receive from your girl? We are both 17 by the way & money isn’t really an issue, as long as it’s reasonable. Thanks to everyone in advance!
Oh, & should I just buy a teddy bear or should I go make one at Build A Bear?
He is spending a lot on me too so how much I’m giving & the price is no concern. And as for the picky guitarist thing. He has been looking at this guitar for a while now & it is at the top of his list of guitars he wants. He has 3 other guitars, one of which I got him for his birthday. Our plan is to have a wall of guitars when we move in together 
And everyone, yes I realize this seems like a whole lot, but he really has done so much for me. He puts me before anything & is ALWAYS there for me. He loves me so much & he shows it all the time. We’ve been through a lot together & he’s stuck with me through it all. He comes over to see me all the time & does things for his mom just so he can see me. We live in Alaska where it’s freezing cold & he comes to see me every day through all the snow, ice, & freezing rain. When I was in a car accident a few days ago he rushed to the hospital. He’s done so much & I feel like I haven’t shown him how much I care for him enough. He’s my world & I want him to have a great day.
Aww I love the watch idea. The whole “Timeless” thing is adorable. He has been wanting a watch too so maybe I’ll see what I can find.

What can I do to make it more personal & romantic? And how would be a good way to present him with the guitar, basket, card, & cake?
Some of the things he’s done for me? He comes to see me everyday he can. He has no car & lives across town. We live in Alaska so he has to find a way here almost everyday even when it’s way below zero & there’s snow & ice & freezing rain. He’s working his ass off every night to get me something amazing (no clue what . . . ) for Valentines day. He only gets paid $ 15 a night for cleaning a bar. He’s always there for me. He treats me great. He brings me out on dates to the movies, bowling, dinner . . . he really is the sweetest guy. He writes me letters & tells me how much he loves me. He tells me I don’t have to do anything for him, but I want to. I want to show him how thankful I am. He goes all out on holidays for me too. We usually and up spending about the same amount on each other. For Christmas he got me Ed Hardy shoes, a Diamond ring, & loads of other things. He does so much for me & so much for everyone else. He really does deserve this.

But let me tell you something, as nice as it is to give him all this stuff, it really isn’t necessary to show your love.
Trust me, he’s going to be overwhelmed at all this and that may be a good thing BUT you have to realize that he’s gonna feel like shit if he can’t pay you back somehow. I have the greatest most caring friends ever, who buy me stuff and it’s not nearly as much as you’re giving him and I STILL feel really bad about myself. So think about him, it’s unlikely, but possible that some guy would dump a girl if he felt like he isn’t good enough to support her. Don’t base your love on material items. ><

wow, that’s a lot of gifts. take him a month to open them. I hope he doesn’t feel obligated to reciprocate. I know you want to make this the best Valentine’s day ever, but you have to be concerned. I used to think like you do. No doubt this Valentine’s day is the best ever for him, but it is not your biggest concern, the next Valentine’s day is. From now on, you need to top the year before. Just a piece of advice.
Bring him to Build-a-bear, so you both can pick the one you like. Kiss the heart together before building the stuff animal.
Wow he might not even take the gift as it is so expensive, thats a really great gift though that he’ll never forget, but I don’t know about buying him a guitar without his consent because as a guitarist myself we are very picky about our guitars and if you buy it for him there is no turning back.

also a fossil watch would be nice thats what i got my boyfriend and the whole them was timeless the watch symbolizing my love for him that it would always go one for ever. and this year for V-day i got him 2 bears at walmart for 3 bucks each and one the girl one has horns and a tail its SOO CUTE and holding a heart and it saids hot also has a cap and the boy saids be mine and its a red bear i saw those together and picked out a really cute card that sings and lights up and it saids even our ordinary moments are our extraordinary moments and then i got him fuzzy red hand cuffs

I don’t think there is anything else you can get him, you should make a bear at build-a-bear and make it his favorite animal. You could also get him toe socks, ha ha, that would be cute & funny, and maybe his favorite dinner.

What you have organised already is really great and im so struggling to think of anything else. What about a silver guitar plectrum chain like the ones on the website below?
well I think thats more than enough if we are talking about presents. I think that the only thing that you will need to make that day really special is making sure that he knows how much you love him and care about him. Tell him romantic phrases like:
-You are the love of my life
-Loving you makes my life complete
-You are everything I ever wanted in my life
Guys love to hear thigs like that and he would realize that you bought all those present because of a really big reason- you love him.

i believe valentines day isnt really for spending a bunch of money its just the thought that counts. all those gifts are really great though. as long as your there for him and you do something from the heart for him he knows that you love him. maybe write him a poem or something or a letter. he will know that you love him if you give him something right from the heart.

Well if your both spending alot on each other. Why not just cook him dinner. Set it up all romantic with only candle light. Have the guitar and stuff ready like in the corner of the room so he cant see it. The smaller stuff I say hide by the table or under it. or put another table by the table to hide it. The cake can be dessert. When you have given him everything besides the guitar… tell him you have one more thing to show him, get it from the dark corner and give it too him.
The bear idea. most men dont like teddy bears. But in the case yours does.. Do a bulid a bear… Build 2 of them. Build one to be you and one to be him.

If money is no object, you could also try ordering custom guitar picks online with a picture of you or both of you together. Try googling “custom guitar picks”.

THE TRUTH::::: I think its really sweet that your getting him all these things but I think you can lower it down just a bit. I mean your only 17 and don’t you think that he would be a little overwhelmed that he’s getting sooo many stuff from you? I hope you don’t mind me asking this but what are some of the things that he has done for you?? Instead of using sooo much money for everything you should really think of getting him something that shows you love him like the same way he came to you when you were in a car accident not by getting him sooo much stuff with money. (money doesn’t handle everything)

A Candle Light Dinner would be great, whats his favorite food? Build a bear is the way to go. He can pick the bear and you dress him up. I got one this fall dressed as a Dallas Cowboy.
It does concern me that he gives you gifts, diamonds, ect.. Why doesn’t he get a car with the money he is spending to take you around.. Please don’t let the material things be the basis of your love. Diamonds are forever sometimes, but it may be on more than one finger..
Make him Dinner, that’s love.
